SEWER CARE
With some of the newest surveying, cleaning, cutting and lining vehicles and equipment in the industry, Harpers SewerCare stay keenly up-to-date with the latest technology and industry developments. As a result, Harpers SewerCare can offer all our customers a superior service. Using a combination of the latest equipment and time tested techniques, we have the capability to deal with any aspect of maintenance and repair in the industrial, commercial and domestic drains and sewers.
Harpers provides full sewer and drainage surveying, investigation and mapping services for all types of drainage including; clean or dirty water and chemical or effluent systems.
Sewer & Drain Technology
We strive to use the latest technology to deliver the most accurate and cost effective service to our clients. Our system features steerable cameras for traversing bends with pan and tilt camera controls for thorough and complete data capture in pipes between 100mm and 2000mm and above in diameter.
Sewer Reporting
Our sewer & drain survey hardware provides HD imagery which is viewed live on and off-site using WincanVX (Or earlier version if required) and HADDMS (For highway projects) software to save time in acting on any immediately required or major repairs. After highlighting suggested corrective works, we can advise on the most appropriate course of action from our years of experience.
How Does Sewer & Drain Surveying Work?
Harpers use some of the latest industry technology to deliver the most accurate, cost-effective and efficient CCTV drain surveying. Instead of us having to perform excavation or have an engineer enter the pipes, a wheel-mounted camera unit is lowered into the pipe system, sending HD photos and videos back to the team. From these photos, our Harpers engineers can check the condition of the pipes to identify any potential issues, such as hairline cracks, large fissures, collapsed sections and blockages to name a few.
Advantages of a CCTV Drain Survey
CCTV Drain Surveying is the fastest and most cost-effective way of inspecting drains and sewers for issues. Our equipment can produce such high-quality images and videos that any current or future problems can easily be identified by a trained engineer. From hairline cracks, larger holes, blockages or pest infestations the Harpers Sewer & Drainage Surveying can prevent issues and spot potential damages.
One of the most cost effective and immediate ways of cleaning and de silting is through the use of high pressure jetting and also to clear large and small blockages.
Versatile - Harpers SewerCare have a range of jetting and recycling units and vehicles which allow us to conduct routine cleaning within surface water culverts, large and small industrial and commercial drains and sewers as well as smaller domestic blockages. For rural locations or in areas with particularly difficult access we can use our off-road portable reel to ensure access is never an issue.
Recycling - Our units continuously recycle water on-site so we spend less time driving to re-fill water tanks – saving our clients valuable time and money. The water is cleaned using a coarse filter to separate sludge, a hydro cyclone to remove solid particles and two finer filters before being recycled for continuous jetting.
Stay Ahead - More and more organisations are choosing to keep ahead of the game with a pre-planned Sewer Clean. This means your drains regularly get checked out and cleaned by the Harpers team allowing us to resolve any issues before they turn into major problems.
Our pre-planned Sewer Cleaning programme is designed for each individual business’ needs and wants. All you have to do is tell us how, what, when and where you would like us to clean your drains and we’ll just get on with it with no fuss.
This ensures your drainage system is happy and healthy and one less thing to worry about.
Drainage issues are commonly caused by tree roots, fat or grease build-up, grout or concrete making their way into a pipe which needs to be cut free.
Options - Based around the specific requirements and limitations of your site we can use air driven, high pressure water, mechanical or even robotic systems to clean debris and cut new openings for feeder pipes after a sewer or drain lining project.
Visibility - As well as having the ability to work in tight, difficult to reach areas we can monitor progress in real-time and re-survey the drains to advise on future work including linings to reduce the likelihood of pipe penetrating, both new and historic blockages such as roots.
When an issue within a segment of pipe is under five metres in length, we use a liner to increase working efficiency and extend the lifespan without excavation.
Lasting - Instead of excavating and replacing pipes, our ‘no-dig’ lining system allows us to repair drains, sewers and culverts in a convenient and cost effective manner. This uses a resin which is cured using water or steam. We specialise in UV light cure systems which use less energy for a lower carbon footprint as well as removing the risk of styrene pollution into the environment and watercourse.
Patching - As a quick and simple way of repairing cracks and fractures in your drain system we use localised patch repairs. This is the ideal solution as it doesn’t require the excessive cost of a full liner or even excavating to re-lay new pipework.
